(EP 142) In this episode of The Morning Show, we spotlight Angelique N. Kane, Executive Director of Phoenix Center for the Arts, and the organization’s incredible impact on Arizona’s cultural landscape. 🎭 Renovations to Third Street Theater & The Box The Center’s venues—historic Third St Theater (216 seats) and intimate The Box (75 seats)—are undergoing major upgrades funded by the City of Phoenix’s GOBond initiative. These spaces serve as vital hubs for affordable, accessible, and inclusive arts programming that nurture both emerging and established artists. 🎨 Canvas of Courage (CoC) Program This new initiative uses the power of expressive arts—painting, music, dance, writing—to support veterans facing PTSD, anxiety, and social isolation. With regular workshops, culturally sensitive sessions, and an annual Veterans Ball, CoC empowers veterans through healing, creativity, and community. 🍂 Fall Arts Classes Kicking off in early August, the Center offers affordable, high-quality programming across nine departments for all ages and backgrounds. With scholarships, inclusive workshops, and public showcases, these classes make creative growth and community connection accessible to everyone. 🌟 Phoenix Festival of the Arts Mark your calendar for December 13–14, 2025, at Margaret T.
