Ep. 54 - 'The Stories They Didn’t Tell Us – Nina’s Story' | A Documentary

We talked with Cindy Lee (Director/Producer), Kat Aparicio (Director of Photography/Editor), and Nina Newell (Documentary On-Camera Subject) the filmmakers behind 'The Stories They Didn’t Tell Us – Nina’s Story' (17:52) – a short documentary which screened in the Worldwide Women’s Film Festival, March 2025. This short documentary is a story presented mainly by three women who offer three perspectives on making this film. Nina’s Story is told by a Vietnamese American refugee woman as the central character/subject. It is directed and produced by a Korean American woman, filmed and edited by a Japanese/Mexican American woman.
